Camp Report From Cassy
Cassy Villarreal — 14 Jan 2005

The Jan. camp was a great success. From Friday night at check in to Sunday night at check out you could see the excitement in every ones (From the Kids to the staff’s) eyes. Friday night started off with sectionals for the percussion and brass sections. As the night progressed you could hear improvement in the warm-ups and chord exercises that were taught in the brass section and the rad beats coming out of the percussion room. The next day in visual block , after stretching and working on the technique , you could see the hype and aggressiveness in the across the floors by each line. Visual block was a great success. Later on in the day were sectionals and auditions. Everyone did awesome! The next day after visual, the kids all prepared in sectionals for the show and tell presentation. Everything went great! Good job Trinity members and staff and Thanks for all your hard work.

Cassy

Congratulations To Our New Drum Majors
Ray Holland — 14 Jan 2005

The Drum Major audition this past camp end with the result of Cassy Villarreal as the Drum Major and John Montemayor as the Back Field/Sideline Conductor. The race for the top spots in the corps was a very difficult competition as all of the auditions were all qualified to do the job. However, as in life, choices have to be made by the administration of the organization. In a testament to how awesome our students are, not long after the decision had been made, all of the other Drum Major candidates went back to their instruments and rehearsed with a refreshing seance of commitment to the corps. Thank you all for the great camp, and congratulations once again to Cassy and John.

Educational Staff Positions Still Available
Ray Holland — 22 Dec 2004

Our educational staff is filling out quite nicely with highly qualified educators in every section of the corps, but we are still looking for a few more educational staff members to help complete our staff for 2005. We have positions available in the Color Guard and Brass, and enough space for one more visual technician. If you are interested in being apart of Trinity’s Inaugural Season on staff, please fill out a staff application.

When you fill out an application you will receive an auto-responded E-mail with further instructions. Thank you in advance to all who apply!

Trinity Presents “Ghost Train”
Ronald McAdam — 19 Dec 2004

Trinity Drum & Bugle Corps has decided that, “Ghost Train” The Music of Eric Whitacre would be the corps first production. Trinity will explore a wide variety of emotions as the music progresses from sweet, peaceful to exciting and very powerful.

Trinity will enter the world of DCI quietly and slowly, but then progress to full speed ahead to show spectators that Texas will not be left behind. The staff, as well as the Board of Directors, feels that this piece will allow us to do just that. With the exceptional talent that was demonstrated at the December camp, we have only the best to look forward to in 2005.

If you would like to be a part of this amazing ride, please visit www.trinitydbc.org or e-mail the corps at info@trinitydbc.org.
